Photocharity has organized the Concert of Hope honoring BB King on October 12, 2007 at SDSU’s Open Air Theatre, which is also dubbed “The Concert to End Youth Homelessness.”
BB King, a dedicated Photocharity Music Angel for many years now, will also perform at the event, held in his honor.
Joining in on this concert for the cause are Paul Rodgers, George Thorogood, Taj Mahal, Blind Boys of Alabama and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. All event proceeds will go toward launching a program that aids homeless 18 to 24 year olds.
Many of BB King’s friends and colleagues will have an opportunity to share kind words commemorating his achievements in both music and philanthropy, while the children from The Storefront, a program of San Diego Youth and Community Services and the only emergency homeless shelter in San Diego for teens aged 12-17, will give a short musical performance to show their gratitude for all that he has done for them.
Having raised over one million dollars to date, Photocharity is proud to join forces with some of today’s top artists and bring recognition to what is a growing problem in our nation.
